Kaleidoscope Festival is set to return to Alexandra Palace Park on Saturday 11 July, bringing another vibrant day of music, comedy, culture and family entertainment to one of London’s most iconic spaces. Now in its sixth year, the one-day boutique festival has become a staple of the capital’s summer calendar, unfolding across both indoor and outdoor areas of the historic “People’s Palace”, all framed by sweeping views across the city.
Spread across multiple stages in the award-winning park, the festival makes full use of its unique setting. The South Slope transforms into a natural amphitheatre, with the Palace itself creating a striking backdrop for a day that blends big live performances with immersive experiences and plenty to explore.
Topping the bill on the Hilltop Stage this year are British chart-toppers Rudimental, who arrive off the back of their self-titled fifth album. Expect a high-energy set packed with the sound system roots and anthems that have defined their career. They’ll be joined by returning favourites Groove Armada for a DJ set, while UK garage pioneer MJ Cole brings a live performance that reflects the genre’s lasting influence on London’s music scene, including tracks like his breakthrough hit ‘Sincere’.
The line-up continues with Black Grape, led by Shaun Ryder and Kermit, celebrating 30 years since the release of It’s Great When You’re Straight, alongside drum’n’bass legend Roni Size. The Amy Winehouse Band, led by her longtime musical director Dale Davis, will perform songs from her acclaimed catalogue in tribute to one of North London’s most influential voices. Manchester DJ and broadcaster DJ Paulette also joins the bill, bringing a feel-good summer soundtrack to the day.
Beyond the music, Kaleidoscope’s comedy programme is led by multi-award-winning stand-up Russell Kane, with Olga Koch, Emmanuel Sonubi and Bella Hull also taking to the stage. The festival’s playful spirit continues with crowd-favourite experiences including Some Voices Choir, Bez’s Acid House Experience, Hip Hop Karaoke and Disco Yoga.
Families are well catered for too, with a dedicated area that feels like a mini festival in its own right. Expect a pop-up theatre, workshops and performances from Silly Science, Circus Sensible, the African Acrobatic Circus, Punch & Judy shows, an interactive mural wall and even the world’s tallest bubbleologist.
