Synaethesia shines a spotlight on a diverse selection of female and non-binary artists

Hoxton Square resident Colours have proudly announced a truly unique partnership with AR creators Typeone, bringing to life an innovative curated musical exhibit unseen in East London before.

With the rich history that has existed on the heritage site, Synaethesia Is set to highlight female and non-binary artists that have performed in the venue’s footprint over the past 100 years. Handpicked by the Colours team, the selection focuses on artists that have had a profound effect on musical culture, shining a spotlight on the queens of the UK and US music scene including Florence Welch, Rita Ora, Laura Marling, Lianne La Havas, Brody Dalle, Janelle Monae, and Grimes.

Through utilising the power of augmented reality, upon entering guests can scan a QR code with their smart phone or tablet and watch in awe as the images come to life through the device in their very hands. Through Typone’s award-winning background in live music multi-sensory experience, the resulting exhibition explores the idea of multi-sensory memory whilst celebrating the rich legacy of this East London icon.

Dates: Open from Thursday 1st December Address: 2-4 Hoxton Square, London N1 6NU
