Across the road from Wood Lane station and a stones throw from The BBC’s Television Centre, is The Broadcaster Bar & Restaurant. A light and welcoming Restaurant, with a bar and gorgeous large upstairs terrace. Set up for any weather, with comfy tables, lounging areas and private al fresco dining (or covered in the case of winter or bad weather).
The space is modern and light, with wood panelling, soft green tiles, overhanging greenery and floor to ceiling glass windows. The perfect space to meet, drink and also enjoy the great food on offer. We sat in the downstairs eating space, which was full of tables of friends and business colleagues soaking in the atmosphere. We were even able to bring our 4 legged friend, who was greeted with plenty of attention and a bowl of water.
I started with sparkling water and one of their most loved zero alcohol cocktails, Ever After (Everleaf Mountain, rhubarb, cinnamon, jasmine soda) which was, honestly, one of the nicest 0% alcohol cocktails I’ve ever had!

As a starter we shared the Rare breed Pork & Braeburn apple sausage roll and the Tiger Prawn Scampi. Both were good portions for starters and came with some tasty dips. The sausage roll was a particular favourite, the outside crust was cooked perfectly and the the sausage meat inside was juicy and well-seasoned.

For our main courses, we both opted for the grilled Yellowfin tuna, cooked well as requested. We were particularly impressed by the generous portion size and the excellent quality of the steak. The accompanying side salad complemented the dish beautifully, gorgeous flavours and a pleasing contrast in texture.

As always there was just enough room for dessert, I opted for the Apple Crumble, which was a standout. Enough topping, but even more gorgeous apples with a sneaky serving of toffee sauce underneath and on top clotted cream chantilly. The warmth and soft spice of this crumble definitely rivalled any Sunday pub lunch crumble, and quite frankly I’d be happy to eat it every day of the week.
The staff were friendly & informative, chatting with us about my dog and offering advice on the menu and drinks. We really liked that the place was full of people eating, laughing and relaxing. I can imagine this would be a great venue to host a private gathering, and we can’t wait to come back and enjoy the terrace and views in the sun.
