Get your Christmas Boules on the South Bank

A patch of Waterloo has been transformed into Provence this month as the concept “Jack and Boule” opens up a few minutes walk from Waterloo. Grab your pals or family for a night to remember with the traditional French game as you try and land your balls nearest the jack to win. There are multiple courts with two bars and a seating area all under cover so no need to bring a brolly while you play.

With Jimmy’s Burgers and Rico Burrito providing plenty of food options for you to choose: from Buffalo Chicken Burger to Loaded Fries and Nachos and of course classic burritos you won’t go hungry. There is also a fully stocked bar offering classics which include Aperol Spritz, Amaretto Sours to draught lagers and cider as well as mocktails and soft drinks for the sober crews. If it’s a bit nippy out, hit up the mulled wine, hot chocolate and bourbon hot toddies to warm up your hands!

Prices: An off-peak game of boules is £25 per court (2-6 players), peak game of boules is £42 per court (2-6 players)

Book via www.jackandboule.com/book Opening times: Tuesday – Sunday 11am – 11pm Address: 110 Upper Ground, Southbank SE1 9PP (behind the National Theatre
