Christmas Wreath-Making at ALFI, Spitalfields
There’s something rather lovely about stepping away from the Christmas rush and spending an afternoon making something beautiful by hand. This November and December, independent Italian restaurant ALFI, nestled in the heart of Spitalfields Market, is inviting guests to embrace the festive spirit with a series of Christmas wreath-making workshops.
With a glass of prosecco in hand, guests will be guided through creating their own traditional Christmas wreath using a natural moss base, fresh seasonal foliage and a wonderful assortment of decorations, from dried orange slices and pinecones to miniature baubles, bells and ribbons, promising to make a charming addition to any front door. And with all materials provided, the only thing you need to bring is a little Christmas spirit. Of course, being an Italian restaurant, there’s every reason to make an afternoon of it. Known for its handcrafted Neapolitan pizzas, fresh pasta and relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, ALFI is the perfect place to settle in afterwards for a leisurely lunch, a seasonal cocktail or another glass of something sparkling.
Creativity is very much part of the ALFI experience. Alongside its festive workshops, the restaurant offers a year-round programme of hands-on activities, including pasta-making classes, Paint & Sip sessions, scented candle-making, cocktail masterclasses and flower arranging.
