Spanning three kilometres, the trail will feature 30 immersive installations, large-scale artworks and atmospheric soundscapes.
The festive magic begins at the trail’s entrance, where visitors will be greeted by a spectacular gateway of oversized illuminated gifts and glowing arches, alongside a special seasonal welcome from Father Christmas. Along the way, a host of playful festive details await, from the enchanting Candy Cane Lane and Gingerbread Walk to life-sized Nutcracker figures and giant glitter balls.
One of this year’s highlights will be a striking new installation by Squidsoup, New Life, New Love, New Dawn. Towering monoliths will illuminate the landscape surrounding Kew’s iconic Victorian Temperate House, guiding visitors towards the spectacular Pagoda Vista. Nearby, the Skirt Trees will take inspiration from the Sugar Plum Fairy, bringing a touch of Nutcracker magic and shimmering sparkle to the Garden’s magnificent tree collection.
Beyond the remarkable Palm House, a dynamic Neon Tree will transform one of Kew’s 11,000 trees into a vibrant beacon of light. The journey continues with the return of the TILT Animated Flower Garden, alongside Light Rain and the Sweetie Roundabout, offering a succession of playful, colourful and captivating moments to discover. Bringing the trail to a spectacular finale, the Palm House Pond display returns for 2026 with an exciting new water fountain installation. Giant illuminated chandeliers will dance across the water and surrounding lawn, there is so much to enjoy, it will have you memorised for days!
And no festive evening would be complete without a little indulgence.
