Review of nhow London in Shoreditch

If you're staying in Shoreditch, it feels only right to choose a hotel that reflects the neighbourhood's creative energy and artistic spirit. Enter nhow London, a vibrant, design-led hotel just a short walk from Old Street Station that effortlessly combines bold style, comfort, personality, and exceptional hospitality.

From the moment I arrived, I knew this wasn't going to be an ordinary hotel stay. nhow London fully embraces the eclectic character of East London, blending contemporary art, playful British influences, and striking interiors to create a space that feels both exciting and welcoming. Every corner has been thoughtfully curated, making the hotel feel more like an immersive art gallery than a traditional city hotel. We received a warm and friendly welcome at reception and were quickly on our way up to the fifth floor to discover our room. Even the corridors at nhow are far from ordinary.

While many hotels are guilty of long, uninspiring hallways, nhow has transformed theirs into part of the experience. Each guest room door is designed to resemble a classic London front door, complete with a doorbell and doorknob, all painted in vibrant colours. Before you've even stepped inside your room, you're already excited!. It's these playful details that make the hotel so memorable.

The Rooms

The rooms strike the perfect balance between contemporary comfort and creative flair, offering everything needed for a relaxing city break. I was fortunate enough to stay in one of the hotel's Junior Suites, and it was an absolute delight. The suite featured a luxurious king-size bed, a separate living area, and a stunning elongated entrance hallway lined with floor-to-ceiling windows. This space also housed a stylish workstation, making it ideal for anyone needing to catch up on a little work during their stay.

Inside, eye-catching artwork and statement furniture create a visually exciting space that stimulates the senses without ever feeling overwhelming. Every detail feels intentional, resulting in a room that is both stylish, artistic and and comfortable. I found myself constantly admiring the design elements and discovering new details throughout our stay.

Comfort certainly wasn't sacrificed for style. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep, while the living room sofa conveniently converted into a sofa bed, perfect for our toddler, who settled in both evenings nicely.

The food

The hotel’s restaurant, Guilty London, perfectly reflects the hotel's playful and contemporary spirit. Taking centre stage is a striking giant Big Ben rocket installation, an eye-catching feature that proved a huge hit with children, especially my toddler, who was completely captivated by it.

For my main course, I chose the fish and chips. The fish was beautifully cooked, encased in a crisp, golden batter that gave way to tender, flaky flesh. Served alongside a generous helping of chunky chips, it was a hearty and satisfying dish. If you’re planning to order it, be sure to arrive with a healthy appetite.

Service

The staff were consistently warm, professional, and attentive, creating a genuine sense of hospitality from check-in to check-out. Every interaction was met with friendliness and efficiency, and nothing ever felt too much trouble. It's the kind of service that makes guests feel genuinely valued and leaves a lasting impression long after they've left.

Location

The hotel's location is another standout feature. Situated within easy reach of Shoreditch's buzzing cultural scene, independent boutiques, restaurants, cafés, and nightlife, nhow London provides the perfect base for exploring one of the capital's most vibrant neighbourhoods. Whether you're visiting for business, leisure, or a family city break, everything you could want is right on your doorstep.

Final Thoughts

nhow London offers far more than simply a place to stay. It delivers an experience, one that's creative, comfortable, and full of personality. From its imaginative design and spacious rooms to its excellent service and prime location, it captures the essence of Shoreditch perfectly.

If you're looking for a hotel that dares to be different while still delivering all the comforts of a luxury stay, nhow London should be firmly on your list.
