Quaglino’s has returned to its full glory

Almost a century after first opening its doors in 1929, Quaglino’s has played host to royalty, writers, screen stars and London’s most glamorous socialites, and now they are entering an exhilarating new era under The Evolv Collection. Think Art Deco grandeur, a fresh injection of artistic flair and a menu steeped in European heritage. This is Quaglino’s restored to its full, glittering glory, but with its eyes firmly on the future. A thoughtful restoration celebrates the restaurant’s iconic Art Deco architecture and famous staircase, while a newly commissioned art collection adds a contemporary edge.

The menu inspired by the remarkable journey of founder Giovanni Quaglino, from his roots in Piedmont to the glamour of Cannes, via the legendary kitchens of The Savoy. Italian provenance meets French classical technique, with the best of British dining thrown into the mix. Expect a menu that celebrates heritage, where timeless favourites and contemporary creativity share the spotlight.

Guests can also enjoy three new bar experiences:

  • The Champagne bar; offering 24 champagnes by the glass and bottle.

  • A Fruits de Mar seafood counter which serves molluscs and crustaceans, reminiscent of the original Conran feature design and offering, along with modern ceviche and tiradito small plates

  • A Dessert bar (which takes the form of a Cannes ‘Tabac’ offering smoke-filled edible helium balloons, cannoli cigars and chocolate ashtrays).

A new performance space brings cabaret and live music closer to the action than ever before, while theatrical raised booths around the dining room offer front-row seats to the spectacle. Yet the new Quaglino’s isn’t reserving its glamour for after dark. Inspired by Terence Conran’s belief in the democratisation of dining, the restaurant pairs its legendary evenings of music, cocktails and high-octane energy with a refreshingly accessible daytime offering. Enter the Ten Pound Plates: a chance to enjoy a taste of this London institution without the grand occasion price tag. Because a restaurant this iconic should be somewhere everyone can enjoy.

Leading the kitchen is Executive Chef Daniel Scott, bringing three decades of culinary experience and refinement to Quaglino’s next chapter. His ingredient-led philosophy puts seasonality centre stage, letting exceptional produce do the talking rather than hiding it behind unnecessary flourishes. Working directly with farmers, producers and fishermen, Scott builds menus around the best ingredients available, with dishes that evolve naturally with the seasons.

Nearly 100 years on, Quaglino’s remains a place to see and be seen, but this next chapter is about so much more than nostalgia. It’s about great food, extraordinary drinks, live entertainment and the kind of atmosphere that turns an ordinary Tuesday into an occasion. Under The Evolv Collection, a true London original is back in the spotlight, ready to charm old friends and win over new admirers.
