Celebrate Chinese New Year at Camden Market

Camden Market launches its 2026 cultural calendar with a vibrant Chinese New Year celebration, honouring the Year of the Horse. Taking place on Saturday, 21st February, this free festival transforms the market into a lively hub of Chinese culture, performance, and traditional food.

Visitors can enjoy a packed programme of live entertainment including Lion and Dragon dances, traditional music, Kung Fu demonstrations, acrobatics, and Beijing Opera. Fashion parades, cultural stalls, and artistic installations add to the high-energy, colourful atmosphere.

The festival is family-friendly, with creative workshops throughout the day, such as lantern decorating, fan painting, Chinese calligraphy, pocket pouch making, and Mahjong demonstrations.

Alongside the performances, Camden Market’s famous global food stalls and traditional New Year décor complete the celebration. Created in collaboration with CNTO London (China National Tourist Office), the event offers an authentic and joyful way to welcome the Lunar New Year.

Date: Saturday 21st February 2026

Time: 12:30-6pm

Location: Market Place, Hawley Wharf, NW1 8QH

The festival is free to attend, so walk ins welcome, or book here.
