A Showstopping Afternoon Tea at Theatre Royal Drury Lane

Theatre Royal Drury Lane is delighted to introduce its latest culinary experience: the Showstopping Afternoon Tea, where the elegance of afternoon tea meets the enchantment of the stage.

Debuting on Thursday, 17th April, this exceptional offering is announced in celebration of World Theatre Day on Thursday, 27th March. As masters of unforgettable experiences, LW Theatres presents an afternoon tea unlike any other—the only one of its kind in the West End, seamlessly blending exquisite dining with theatrical flair.

An Extraordinary Setting
Hosted in the magnificent Grand Saloon, one of London’s most striking Regency spaces, this experience immerses guests in a world of refined luxury. From impeccable service to the rich history of the venue, every element is carefully curated to transport guests into the magic of the theatre.

A Performance in Two Acts
Guests are welcomed by Theatre Royal Drury Lane’s distinguished Red Coats, known for their exceptional service and extensive knowledge of the theatre’s remarkable history and restoration.

In true theatrical fashion, the Showstopping Afternoon Tea unfolds in two acts:

Act One presents a selection of savouries served on an exclusive limited-edition board, crafted from the theatre’s original 101-year-old stage floor, salvaged during its 2019 restoration—a rare opportunity to dine on a piece of history.

Act Two offers a dramatic reveal, as a plush red velvet curtain is lifted at the table to unveil an exquisite selection of sweets, evoking the grandeur of the stage’s most captivating moments.

For those looking to extend their visit, The Lane’s elegant terrace bar, overlooking Covent Garden, will soon open, offering a sophisticated space to enjoy a drink or light bites. Whether you are a theatre aficionado, a lover of fine dining, or simply in search of an exceptional afternoon, the Showstopping Afternoon Tea at Theatre Royal Drury Lane promises an experience to remember.

Launching on 17th April—reservations are now open. From £68 per person

Vegan and gluten free options are available, and you can upgrade to Champagne Afternoon Tea on arrival.
