The Taste of Singapore – Delivered Directly to Your Door thanks to DabbaDrop

DabbaDrop, the eco-friendly champions of zero-waste food delivery, are back with a mouthwatering new menu – and this time, they’re bringing the bold, vibrant flavours of Singapore straight to your doorstep!

Teaming up with the brilliant Singaporean chef and author of Agak Agak, Shu Han Lee, DabbaDrop is serving up The Taste of Singapore – a feast that’s bursting with spice, balance, and pure joy. Inspired by Shu’s fun, no-rules cooking style, this menu is an explosion of bold flavours:

Hispi Fry with Mushroom ‘Oyster’ Sauce – smoky, charred cabbage meets a deep, umami-packed mushroom sauce.

Roast Pumpkin Masak Lemak – a silky coconut curry infused with turmeric and lemongrass.

Tofu with Salted Black Beans & Broccoli – tofu and tender broccoli drenched in a rich, savory black bean sauce.

Pandan Steamed Rice – fluffy, fragrant, and kissed with the delicate sweetness of pandan.

And because no Singaporean feast is complete without a fiery kick, each dabba comes with Rempapa’s signature Red Hot Sambal Tumis.

Shu Han Lee knows a thing or two about bringing Southeast Asian flavours to the UK. A recipe developer and food writer who has worked with Jamie Oliver, Kikkoman, and Tilda, she moved from Singapore to London in 2019 and founded Rempapa Spice Co – her own range of Southeast Asian curry and chilli pastes, now stocked across the UK. Her first cookbook, Chicken and Rice (2016), was a hit, and her latest, Agak Agak (which means “somewhat” in Malay), is all about embracing the art of cooking without rigid measurements—just pure, instinctive, flavour-packed magic.

DabbaDrop, the brainchild of Hackney locals Anshu Ahuja and Renée Williams, has been shaking up the food delivery game with its weekly changing menus, delivering hearty, homemade South Asian-inspired dishes directly to your door by pushbike in traditional, reusable tin dabbas. Because good food should be kind to both your taste buds and the planet.

This limited-edition Taste of Singapore menu is available to order on April 23 & 25, 2025—so don’t miss out!
