The Libertine Bar opens in the Royal Exchange on October 20th

The Libertine Bar is opening up in the royal exchange on October 20th! Set in the immense vaults The Libertine is the new home of indulgence in the heart of the city. Sitting on the site where the very first royal alcohol licence in Britain was granted, the space is steeped in hedonism and mischief.

This 400-capacity venue follows a £2m refit from the brains behind Pergola Paddington and Pergola on the Wharf. Nestled in the historic vaults under The Royal Exchange, The Libertine will comprise of a large destination bar, lively drinking and dining spaces, two private dining rooms including a whiskey vault for paired whiskey experiences, and the main restaurant.

The Libertine will be a place of celebration and generous hospitality, paying homage to its rich, fruitful history. With free-spirited hedonism at its centre, the space will be a destination for parties, drinking and dining alike, from morning through to late night.

The drinks menu has been created in partnership with some of the city’s finest distilleries, breweries and wine merchants. The wine list consists of a house list offering quality wines from respected world vineyards and a reserve list displaying finer vintages for special occasions. Sitting alongside the wine list and array of well-loved beers will be a cocktail menu with twists on the classics, including a Smoky Thyme Old Fashioned and a Pink Peppercorn Negroni, as well as a full menu of classic cocktails.

The Libertine’s food offering will include wholesome seasonal food using the best quality produce from lunch till late, with a menu consisting of snacks for the table, starters, seafood dishes, a selection of dry-aged steaks and grande cuts alongside traditional mains and desserts.

The Libertine is the go-to City destination this autumn and winter!
