Review of Thai Square in Putney Bridge

There are few things more satisfying than discovering you don't have to choose between your favourite dishes. At Thai Square Putney Bridge, the answer is wonderfully simple: have them all! And there are few London restaurants that can rival this setting. Perched above the River Thames, Thai Square's expansive windows blur the line between restaurant and riverside, creating the wonderful illusion that you're floating on the water while enjoying every course.

To celebrate three decades of serving authentic Thai cuisine, the riverside restaurant has introduced The Endless Horizon: Infinite Thai Dining on the Thames, an unlimited dining experience which leaves buffet queues firmly in the past. Instead, every dish is freshly prepared to order and served directly to your table, allowing you to relax, soak up the panoramic river views and simply enjoy the feast. All-you-can-eat for £30 until September 2026 (half price for kids).

My dining partner and I began with a pair of Thai iced teas that couldn't have been better suited to the occasion. The Lemon Thai Iced Tea tasted crisp, refreshing, and delicately sweet, while the traditional Thai Iced Tea delivered its signature creamy sweetness without ever feeling heavy.

The presentation deserves a mention before the first bite. Some of the dishes arrived in elegant wooden birdcage-style serving stands that added elegance and drama to the table.

Our endless selection featured vegetable satay, vegetable spring rolls, crunchy corn cakes, vegetable tempura, salt and pepper tofu, fresh papaya salad, fragrant jasmine rice, steamed sea bass with zesty dressing, green tofu curry, Three Mush-ketters, and spicy aubergine, alongside what turned out to be one of the highlights of the afternoon, the coconut mushroom soup.

Everything arriving from the kitchen tasted bright, fresh and packed with flavour. The sea bass was delicately cooked, the green curry was fragrant and comforting, while the starters disappeared almost as quickly as they landed on the table. By unanimous decision, two dishes stole the show. The coconut mushroom soup was wonderfully rich and aromatic, delivering layer upon layer of flavour, while the spicy aubergine was simply irresistible, with silky-soft aubergine coated in a bold, punchy sauce that kept us coming back for another forkful.

Supporting us in exploring the generous menu was Jenny, whose warm personality and thoughtful recommendations made the experience feel welcoming from the very beginning. Whether you're catching up with friends, celebrating with family or simply looking for an excuse to spend an afternoon by the Thames, Thai Square Putney Bridge's Endless Horizon offers a fresh take on unlimited dining that's every bit as enjoyable as the view beyond the window.
