Review of Dalloway Terrace

Tucked away in the heart of Bloomsbury, Dalloway Terrace remains one of London’s most enchanting dining destinations. Known for its dreamy, ever changing floral décor and effortlessly refined atmosphere, the chef has accomplished a menu that reflects its setting with thoughtful and curated mouth watering dishes.
On our recent visit, we enjoyed a beautifully balanced meal that celebrated both comfort and creativity, from fresh, vibrant starters to indulgent mains and decadent desserts.
We began with the Burrata, which was luxuriously creamy and paired with grilled grapes which brought a gentle sweetness to the rich cheese. The pumpkin dukkah added a delicate crunch and a touch of spice, while the seeded cracker provided a rustic, earthy texture. It was an elegant combination of flavour and contrast.
The Green Goddess Salad was equally impressive, a bright, refreshing mix of kale, spinach, quinoa, avocado, and sprouting beans, lightly dressed with lemon. Fresh, clean, and full of life.
For my main I had the Crab & Prawn Linguine, which was an instant favourite. The tomato bisque added a comforting depth of flavour, while the chilli butter gave a gentle warmth that enhanced the sweetness of the seafood.
My dining partner had The Slow-Roast Corn-Fed Chicken (half), glazed with aji amarillo, it was tender and deeply satisfying. The glaze added subtle heat and vibrancy, and the accompanying watercress salad offered a crisp, peppery contrast that kept the dish feeling light despite its richness.
We paired our mains with Fries and the Beef Tomato Salad, which surprised us with a clever nori dressing. The umami undertone of the seaweed elevated the sweetness of the tomatoes, transforming what could have been a simple side into something quite special.
To finish, we shared the Chocolate Fondant, its molten centre rich and velvety, offering just the right level of decadence. Alongside it, the Vegan Chocolate and Strawberry Sorbet was a refreshing and elegant alternative creamy, bittersweet, and perfectly balanced by the fresh flavour of the strawberry sorbet.
Dining at Dalloway Terrace is more than a meal; it’s an experience steeped in charm. From the lush setting to the thoughtful details in every dish, the restaurant offers a perfect harmony of style, flavour, and atmosphere.
Whether you visit for an intimate dinner, a leisurely lunch, or a weekend treat, Dalloway Terrace continues to embody the beauty of London dining, it’s timeless, creative, and utterly delicious.
