Vikings: The Immersive Experience is landing at Dock X this March

This March, London welcomes a powerful new cultural attraction -Vikings: The Immersive Experience landing at Dock X. Far more than a battle-led retelling, this ambitious exhibition offers an emotional and educational journey into the heart of Viking society, centred on one of its most influential dynasties. Visitors are invited to step inside the world of King Ragnar Lodbrok, Queen Kraka (Aslaug) and their legendary sons, including Ivar the Boneless and Bjorn Ironside.

Blending large-scale physical sets with cutting-edge technology, the experience unfolds across richly detailed environments designed to fully immerse guests in the Viking age. Highlights include a dramatic forest-style discovery space and a towering mythological Yggdrasil, also known as the World Tree, brought to life through light, sound and projection. High-resolution video mapping, virtual reality and a sweeping cinematic score combine to transport visitors back to 9th-century Scandinavia and the lands the Vikings once explored and conquered.

A defining feature of the exhibition is its focus on Queen Kraka, whose wisdom, foresight and spiritual power are often overshadowed in popular history. Through storytelling and immersive visuals, visitors follow her journey from hidden royal lineage to revered völva, revealing the pivotal role she played in shaping one of the most feared families of the North.

The experience culminates in a striking 360-degree cinematic presentation set around a real Viking longship, guiding audiences through a tale of love, fate, vengeance and legacy. Accessible, multi-sensory and thoughtfully designed, Vikings: The Immersive Experience will appeal to history lovers, families, school groups and fans of Vikings alike.

Tickets start from £19 for children and £23 for adults, with concessions and VIP options available. Public opening on 13th March 2026.

Address: Dock X, Unit 1 Canada Water, Surrey Quays Rd, London, SE16 2XU

Made in Brasil, Camden - Review

On a warm Friday evening, we made our way to Camden for our much-anticipated dinner at Made in Brasil. Situated just off the main street, we arrived just as all the market stalls were finishing for the day. The venue itself vibrantly sticks out on an otherwise drab street, inviting passers-by with its lively exterior and Brazilian beats.

Since we were early, we decided to enjoy a cocktail while soaking up the last bit of sun in their outdoor area whilst listening to the music.

Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by very friendly staff who escorted us to our table next to the bar. From there, we had a perfect view of the bartender showcasing their skills in crafting the sumptuous cocktails the establishment is renowned for. The interior design of the restaurant is reminiscent of the bright colours of Brazil, with a focus on yellows, blues, and reds. Very colourful abstract paintings adorn the walls, adding to the vibrant and lively atmosphere.

The menu offers a variety of traditional Brazilian dishes. For starters I chose the Aquarela do Basil Salada, a tomato, basil, and burrata salad which was okay but lacked the expected creaminess of burrata, I added basil oil to bring the flavours together. My guest chose the Camarao Alho e Pimenta,  pan-fried garlic and chilli prawns which were glorious. The prawns were cooked to perfection, and the sauce was a highlight. We couldn't resist lapping up every drop.

I went for the Rib Eye Steak Grelhado, served with chorizo and thyme new potatoes. The steak itself lacked flavour and again it was my guest’s dish that caught our attention. She ordered the Furtos Do Mar Na Chappa which was full of flavour, a sizzling medley of seafood and fish with a rice accompaniment. The seafood was fresh and cooked just right, making it a delightful main course.

For dessert, we took the waitress's recommendation and chose the Brazilian authentic Acai na Tigela, a berry sorbet with granola, banana, and honey. It was refreshing and delicious. My guest's choice was spot on, Quindim da Colonizacao, a custard tart, complemented by grated coconut, it was very tasty and provided a satisfying end to the meal.

Of course, we washed it all down with some delectable cocktails. The drinks menu is impressive, with a wonderful assortment of mixed-flavoured caipirinhas, which were expertly crafted and delightful.

Overall, our evening at Made in Brasil was enjoyable, not just because of the food but also due to the friendliness of the staff and excellent customer service. The talented bar staff, in particular, stood out, ensuring that our drinks were top-notch. While some dishes, like the prawns and seafood medley, shone brightly, others, such as the rib eye steak and salad, left room for improvement. Nevertheless, the vibrant atmosphere and welcoming staff make this a place worth visiting again.
