Chotto Matte Soho reveals a stunning new design

After 10 strong years of service, world-renowned Nikkei restaurant Chotto Matte Soho temporarily closed its doors… But for exciting reasons that have recently been announced. The West End flagship shut this July to undergo an extensive refurbishment, fully transforming the space with an exhilarating restyle. Set to re-open on 9th September 2022, the re-design will engulf the totality of Chotto Matte’s furniture from floor to chairs and tables to ceilings and tropical foliage will play a central theme. Hues of green, purple, and orange will run alongside exotic materials like Japanese lava stone, shou sugi ban wood, and a variation of wall art inspired by Tokyo’s contemporary urban culture will bring in Eastern culture into the space.

Whilst a new lounge bar and extensive refurbishment is the talk of the town, the menu updates are certainly not to be ignored. Reworked cocktails, a theatrical sushi counter and an upstairs open kitchen complete with a new updated robata grill, are set to up the catering game alongside the luxurious new decor.

Global Executive Chef Jordan Sclare is currently working on adding new surprise items to the menu to complement the classics, including the introduction of a new bottomless Nikkei Brunch for Saturday goers.

Date: Re-opening 9th September Website: https://chotto-matte.com Address: 11, 13 Frith St, London W1D 4RB
