Chez Antoinette re-opens in Covent Garden

Step into Covent Garden and discover Chez Antoinette, a family run French bistro that feels like a love letter to Lyon and Paris. First opened in 2014 and recently re-opened with an elegant redesign, blending the cozy charm of a Lyonnais café with the sophistication of a Parisian townhouse.

Think soft fabrics, antique mirrors, brass accents, and an open kitchen where the magic of French cooking unfolds before your eyes.

The atmosphere is warm, intimate, and unmistakably French , every detail handpicked by co-owner Aurélia in reminiscent of dining at her grandmother’s table. It’s a space where locals, theatre goers, and visitors gather to savour simple, heartfelt French food and the art of living well.

Chez Antoinette celebrates authentic French classics with a modern twist. Comforting dishes like boeuf bourguignon, onion soup, and escargots, alongside lighter options such as tartines topped with Brie de Meaux, hazelnut, and honey to name a few.  Breakfast is a delight too , Croque Madame, baked avocado with poached egg, and buttery pastries paired with rich coffee.

And for evenings? Aperitifs, fine French wines, and indulgent desserts make it the perfect pre-theatre or date night spot. Whether you’re popping in for a quick coffee or lingering over a glass of Sancerre, you’ll feel the warmth and generosity that have made this bistro a Covent Garden favourite.
