Review of Bōkan 37 in Canary Wharf
Set across the top three floors of the Novotel London Canary wharf, you will find Bōkan 37 Restaurant, offering a front-row seat to London’s skyline. From the moment you step inside, it feels like a hidden gem in the clouds.

Think floor-to-ceiling windows, warm industrial-chic interiors, and a buzzing atmosphere that strikes the perfect balance between laid-back and luxe. It’s ideal for a special date night, a long-overdue catch-up, or just a chance to treat yourself.

We kicked off with a couple of standout starters. I had the Mexican Guacamole with Tomato Gel and Datterino Tomato Salad; fresh and zingy, this was comfort food with a fine-dining twist. My dining partner opted for the Cornish Crab with Avocado and Tomato Gel; light, delicate, and perfectly balanced with super fresh crab meat.

For mains, I chose the Organic Tofu in Dashi Broth with Spring Vegetables, a bowl of clean, umami-rich flavours. The tofu was silky, the broth was packed with depth, and the seasonal veg added freshness and crunch. My friend went for the Courgette Risotto with Dried Tomato and Vegan Cheese, which was one of the key plant-based mains. Creamy, comforting, and full of flavour, a great option for vegan’s or lactose intolerant people who don’t want to miss out. Topped off with loads of colourful roast veg, this one was a feast for the eyes as well as the belly.

We finished up by sharing a delightful raspberry meringue, which was a lovely balance of crisp and cloud-like, with a tart raspberry coulis cutting through the sweetness. Topped with plenty of whipped cream and pomegranate seeds, this was the perfect way to sign off the meal.
With 360-degree views of London, Bōkan, is one of the best spots in the city for dinner with a view, even on a somewhat grizzly day the views are truly epic. The atmosphere, service and high-quality food make for an exceptional restaurant experience.
