London’s new floating natural water pool - Sea Lanes to open at canary wharf

Sea Lanes Canary Wharf is set to open on Friday 19 June, bringing London’s first floating natural water pool to the heart of the capital. Located within the transformed waterfront landscape of Eden Dock, the new destination features a 50-metre, six-lane pool offering year-round outdoor swimming in clear natural dock water.

Created by the team behind Sea Lanes Brighton and operated by South Downs Leisure, the venue is designed to make outdoor and open-water swimming accessible to people of all ages and abilities. Alongside flexible swimming sessions and memberships, Sea Lanes Canary Wharf will offer training programmes, social swims and community events. The site also includes two saunas powered by 100% renewable energy, a community clubhouse and a curated food and drink offering, creating a destination that combines sport, wellbeing and social connection in a unique urban setting.

Situated within Eden Dock, where water quality is regularly tested against EU Bathing Water Standards and consistently rated “Excellent”, the venue forms part of a wider vision to create a green oasis in central London. Surrounded by biodiverse planting, geodesic domes and waterside landscaping, Sea Lanes Canary Wharf offers visitors a place to reconnect with nature and enjoy the benefits of outdoor activity while remaining in the heart of the city.
