This week we caught up with Dr. Anna Brilli - Founder of AlkaGlow Lifestyle, to talk about the inspiration behind AlkaGlow Lifestyle, why an alkaline diet is so important and much more.


What inspired you to create AlkaGlow Lifestyle, and what is its core mission?


The inspiration behind creating AlkaGlow Lifestyle came from my experiences as a medical consultant and holistic nutritionist, where I saw firsthand how impactful dietary and lifestyle changes could be on my clients’ overall well-being. I observed the significant effects of an alkaline-based approach in helping people manage chronic health issues, improve energy levels, and achieve healthier, more radiant skin.


The core mission of AlkaGlow Lifestyle is to empower individuals to live in balance with their bodies. By focusing on an alkaline approach, we aim to help people make mindful choices in their diet and daily routines that promote long-term health, vitality, and natural beauty. This lifestyle isn’t about strict rules or deprivation; rather, it’s about understanding how the food we eat and the way we live can work in harmony to support our body’s natural processes. Through AlkaGlow, I want to make this knowledge accessible and practical for everyone, so they can feel their best and bring out their natural glow.


Can you tell us about your journey into wellness and what led you to focus on alkaline-based health?


My journey into wellness began during my years as a medical consultant, where I had the privilege of working with patients from diverse backgrounds and seeing how individualised care could impact lives. Over time, I noticed that many health challenges were linked to lifestyle and dietary habits, which sparked my curiosity about alternative approaches to traditional medicine.


I began researching how holistic practices could complement conventional treatments and came across the concept of alkaline-based health. The more I explored it, the more I understood how the body’s pH balance influences overall wellness, from digestion to skin health to energy levels.

What drew me most to the alkaline approach was its focus on balance, not extremes. Rather than focusing on restriction, it encourages us to add nutrient-dense, natural foods that support our body’s natural processes. When I implemented these principles personally and with my clients, I witnessed transformative results, not only in terms of physical health but also in mental clarity and overall vitality. This motivated me to dive deeper and eventually led to the creation of AlkaGlow Lifestyle, where I could share my knowledge and empower others to achieve vibrant health through balanced, alkaline-centered living.


How do you educate people about the benefits of an alkaline lifestyle, and what challenges do you face in this mission?


Educating people about the benefits of an alkaline lifestyle involves a mix of practical guidance, clear information, and ongoing support. I focus on simplifying complex concepts, like pH balance and acidity, so they’re easy to understand and incorporate into daily life. I use workshops, consultations, and written resources to show how small, consistent changes—such as incorporating more fresh vegetables, reducing processed foods, and staying hydrated—can have a big impact over time.


One challenge I often face is the prevalence of misinformation. With so many health trends out there, some people are skeptical or have misconceptions about what an alkaline lifestyle truly involves. I emphasise that this isn’t about strict rules or quick fixes; it’s a sustainable approach to nurturing the body. Another challenge is helping people move away from the idea of ‘dieting’ and toward a lifestyle perspective that prioritises balance and enjoyment over restriction.

I find that the best approach is to meet people where they are, gradually introducing changes that align with their personal needs and goals. Once people experience the positive effects—better energy, clearer skin, and overall wellness—they become motivated to continue, and it reinforces the benefits of an alkaline lifestyle naturally.


Are there any upcoming projects or products you’re excited to share?


Yes, I’m thrilled about some new projects on the horizon that align with AlkaGlow Lifestyle’s mission to make balanced, alkaline living accessible and enjoyable.


First, we’re introducing a new alkaline water ionizer that allows people to enjoy fresh, ionized alkaline water in their own homes. This device offers adjustable pH levels, making it versatile for drinking, cooking, and even cleaning produce to remove pesticides and bacteria naturally. I’ve seen the incredible difference that properly ionized water can make, and with this new ionizer, we’re making it easier for people to incorporate this valuable tool into their daily routines.


Additionally, we’re launching a series of cooking classes led by my talented co-writer for my next book  and internationally renowned chef Dubravka. These classes are designed to bring the alkaline lifestyle to life in the kitchen, showing participants how to create vibrant, nourishing meals from breakfast to dinner. Each recipe incorporates ingredients that support an alkaline diet.


These classes are a fantastic opportunity for anyone who wants to learn how to prepare delicious, health-boosting meals with an expert guide. Both of these projects are close to my heart, and I’m excited to bring them to our community as tools for living a balanced, health-centred life!


Best piece of advice you have been given?  


One of the best pieces of advice I’ve ever received is, “Focus on progress, not perfection.” In wellness, as in life, aiming for perfection can often lead to frustration or burnout. This advice helped me embrace the idea that small, consistent steps forward are more powerful than grand, unrealistic changes.


It’s a perspective I try to pass on to my clients and anyone interested in an alkaline lifestyle. Balance is key, and it’s okay to make adjustments along the way. Progress—no matter how small—adds up, and it’s this journey toward improvement, rather than an obsession with perfection, that ultimately brings lasting health and happiness.


If you had one day off in London, where would you like to visit / explore? 


If I had a day off in London, I’d love to start with a stroll through Borough Market. The atmosphere is vibrant, and it’s a perfect place to discover fresh, local ingredients, which I’m always inspired by for new recipe ideas. From there, I’d head to the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. It’s such a peaceful escape from the city, with so much natural beauty to explore—definitely a place that recharges me.


Finally, I’d wrap up the day with a cozy dinner at one of London’s many unique, health-focused restaurants. London’s food scene is wonderfully diverse, and I’m always excited to try innovative dishes that blend flavour with wellness.
