Dr Preema Facial review

Knowing that I am of the age where I actually need to start looking after my skin, it seemed like a good time to book in for a facial with Park Lane’s Dr Preema. A renowned name in London’s ‘little black book’ of beauty experts, Dr Preema is sought after for her remarkable skills in achieving exquisite, natural results in the world of aesthetics. With 24 years of experience as a medical doctor and more than 18 years of experience performing facial injectables, Dr Preema uses an extensive range of aesthetic device technologies to combine and deliver skin and body transformational results for both men and women.

I opted for the iS Clinical® Fire & Ice Facial, described as an ‘intensive clinical treatment designed to rapidly and safely resurface the skin’ which sounded absolutely ideal when my skin felt like it was completely dead. The treatment is said to improve the texture, tone, and clarity of the skin. Reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and pores. Hydrate and help produce a rosy glow. Unlike other treatments, it doesn’t create aftercare redness and blotches, so no need to lay low after treatment.

The reception of Dr Preema’s feels more like that of a glossy magazine than a clinic, complete with an iPad to fill in the check-in forms. Greeted warmly by the friendly team, my consultant introduced herself before leading me into a cosy but still stylishly dressed treatment room. I was given a full rundown of the treatment and then had my skin examined before we began. What really struck me was how scientific it all was. I felt like I was learning more about my skin in the session than I had in my whole life. This specific facial uses iS Clinical® products; pharma grade solutions which are incredibly 95 – 98% botanical.

The highlights of this particular treatment were two professional–only masques. The Intense Resurfacing Masque; a potent therapeutic formula incorporating Sugar Cane Extract, Lactic Acid, Citric Acid, Malic Acid, Retinol, Vitamin B3 and potent antioxidants – including Green Tea Extract. The Rejuvenating Masque is the cool, soothing, intense hydration treatment containing Hyaluronic Acid, Aloe Vera Gel, Japanese Green Tea Extract, Liquorice Extract, Grape Seed Extract and Rosemary Extract. These incredible masques with complimentary active and soothing formulas, awaken your senses, whilst producing aromas of warm Cinnamon Spice and brisk cool peppermint.

After an hour and a half of pure relaxation whilst my skin was expertly pampered, I was amazed to see the immediate results. My skin was softer, clearer, wrinkles had softened away and I would best describe it as simply looking ‘brighter’. There seemed to be more life to my face and I could instantly see the transformation. It was hard not to keep touching it just to feel the suppleness! The results seemed to carry on improving days after the treatment, as impurities raised to the surface and dissipated, leaving me with notably clearer skin. The whole process was deeply relaxation and the results undeniable.
