St James’s is set to come alive on Saturday 16th May with the launch of the very first St James’s Food Fair, a vibrant, family-friendly celebration of exceptional food, drink and culinary creativity in the heart of St James’s Market.
Bringing together some of London’s most exciting chefs, restaurants, producers and purpose-led brands, the Food Fair will showcase a carefully curated line-up of street food stalls, tastings, live chef demonstrations and entertainment, celebrating the very best seasonal produce and global flavours.
Visitors will have the chance to sample signature dishes from some of St James’s most-loved restaurants. Highlights include authentic Indonesian BBQ favourites from Toba, serving chicken skewers and rich beef rendang, while Sael will put a refined spin on British classics with its indulgent ‘Sael Fish & Chips’ and Marmite English custard tart. FOWL will dish up crowd favourites including chicken salt fries and signature wings, while Scully will showcase its bold, globally inspired cooking with plates such as spiced cornbread with eggplant sambal and coconut labneh, alongside roast pork belly with sweet-and-sour pineapple.
Paxton & Whitfield, will offer curated sustainable cheese plates, while Central Asian favourite Oshpaz will serve freshly made dumplings with beef, chicken and vegan fillings. All-day bakery Ole & Steen will bring seasonal open sandwiches, Bija will offer Indonesian cake and coffee bundles, and Bentley’s Oyster Bar & Grill will present a seafood-led menu celebrating the finest seasonal British produce.
Alongside the food, visitors can enjoy live music throughout the day, there will be interactive experiences, including ‘Grow the Future’ hosted by The Barefoot Planter, offering hands-on activities focused on sustainable growing and greener food practices and the SMEG flagship store will host a series of ticketed masterclasses, with tickets available from just £5.
