History and art are colliding underground for two days on 17th and 18th September! Charing Cross tube station is getting a bold makeover as “Haring Cross”, a pop-up tribute to the legendary Keith Haring and his iconic 1980s collab with Absolut Vodka.
Charing Cross tube station will be transformed into a living gallery. Commuters and visitors will step off the escalators into a ticket hall buzzing with colour, where two original Absolut Vodka paintings by Haring – unseen in the UK until now – will be on display. Back in the day, these pieces turned Absolut’s bottle into a global art icon. The station itself will be reimagined top to bottom with graphic flourishes inspired by Haring, transforming the usual rush of ticket halls and escalators into something bold, bright, and impossible to ignore.

In true Haring spirit – “art is for everybody” – there’ll also be free posters up for grabs (while they last), featuring his classic 1986 Absolut design: those bold red lines and joyful dancing figures on a vibrant yellow backdrop. Definitely one to frame, or at least brag about.
This unique takeover ties into the launch of the Absolut Haring Artist-Edition bottle. The bottle itself is pure art in motion – Haring’s iconic figures embossed in fiery reds and yellows, contrasted against Absolut’s famous blue, finished with his signature. You may just buy this bottle and never open it, so you can admire the art, and frankly we won’t blame you! It’s a keeper!
