Get up to 50% off with the EatClub app when dining out

Eating out in London can be an expensive business. With restaurant and pub prices continuing to climb, it’s no surprise that more of us are swapping restaurant tables for the sofa and ordering in or cooking at home. But what if you could enjoy your favourite restaurants and bars without paying full price? That’s where EatClub comes in. The free-to-download app offers real-time discounts at thousands of restaurants and bars, helping diners save money while also helping hospitality businesses fill tables during quieter periods. Simply browse the app, find a deal you fancy, book through EatClub and pay your bill using the EatClub digital payment card.

Naturally, we wanted to put it to the test. As a huge fan of Vietnamese food, there was really only one place we could start: Kingsland Road in Shoreditch, home to a huge selection of Vietnamese restaurants. A quick look at the EatClub app showed that Sen Viet Vegan Restaurant was offering an impressive 35% off.

We ordered two meals and a beer, which came to £44.00, already not bad for eating out in London. But once we paid using the EatClub digital payment card, the total dropped to just £28.60. That’s a saving of £15.40. On another evening, we headed to the Lina Stores Bar in Canary Wharf and booked through the EatClub app. Two cocktails came to just £16.00. Two cocktails in London for £16 is an absoulte bargain, some bars charge £16 for one cocktail. At that point, we were starting to wonder why we hadn't downloaded the app sooner.

So, how does the EatClub app actually work?

It’s so simple, you open the app, browse the restaurants and bars near you, find a deal that takes your fancy and make your booking through EatClub. When the bill arrives, you simply pay using your EatClub digital payment card, which is linked to your bank account. The bill itself will show the original price, but because you're paying with the EatClub card, your discount is automatically applied and your bank account is charged the reduced amount. And perhaps best of all, there's no awkward discount conversation at the table. You don't have to tell the restaurant you're using a deal, wave your phone around or explain how much you're supposed to be paying. Just pay with your EatClub digital card and the discount is taken care of automatically.

New figures from the Office for National Statistics show that restaurant and café prices have risen by more than 25% since 2022, putting increasing pressure on customers and hospitality businesses alike. Restaurants and bars are also dealing with rising operating costs, making it more important than ever to attract customers through their doors.

EatClub aims to help tackle both sides of the problem. Rather than encouraging restaurants to slash prices during their busiest periods, the app helps venues fill quieter times with paying customers, creating additional revenue for restaurants and bars while giving diners the chance to eat and drink out for less. So, essentially, it's a bit of a win-win: restaurants get more customers, and we get to eat out without our bank accounts taking quite such a battering.

Fancy £10 off your first booking?

If all this has tempted you to give EatClub a go, there's an extra reason to try it. Click on this link (only works on a mobile and will take you straight to the app to download) - https://links.eatclub.com.au/gHrLiR8o24b

when registering and, when you make your first booking and payment through the app, you'll receive £10 in dining credit. Cities in the UK you can use the EatClub app include London, Manchster, Liverpool, Bristol, Leeds and Cardiff, with the aim of including more cities in the UK.

More restaurant trips, less scary looking bank statements. Sounds like a pretty good deal to us.
