PerfectTed celebrates 5th Birthday with free matcha and cake

PerfectTed is celebrating its fifth birthday with cake, matcha and a riverside bash, and everyone is invited! There’s something wonderfully ridiculous about throwing a birthday party for an entire city. But if there’s free cake and matcha involved, we’re certainly not going to complain.

PerfectTed is marking its fifth birthday with a giant, free birthday party on London’s South Bank, and it’s inspired by a rather unexpected fact: September 26 has historically been identified as the UK’s most common birthday. So, on Thursday, September 24, the matcha brand will be taking over Observation Point, overlooking the Thames, for an afternoon of birthday-themed fun. Expect giant cake energy, freshly whisked matcha, giveaways and enough sweet treats to make even the most committed birthday cake dodger reconsider.

The first 400 visitors will get their hands on a free PerfectTed and Lola’s goodie bag, including a pouch of the brand’s brand-new Birthday Cake Matcha. There’ll also be freshly whisked Birthday Cake Matcha lattes to try for free while stocks last, giving guests a first taste before the flavour hits Sainsbury’s on September 28. And if September 26 actually is your birthday? Your luck is officially in.

The first 100 people who can prove they were born on the date will receive a whole Lola’s bento birthday cake plus a PerfectTed birthday gift set containing a matcha bowl, whisk and pouch of Birthday Cake Matcha. That’s a £50 birthday present, without having to cheekily hint to your friends for three months beforehand.

Snoopy takes over Fleet Street Quarter this Christmas

Nov 24, 2025
1 min read

The Fleet Street Quarter has transformed into a festive wonderland, perfect for a fun-filled family day out. This season, visitors of all ages can enjoy a brand-new Snoopy Sculpture Trail, created in celebration of the 75th anniversary of Peanuts™. Scattered throughout the Quarter, families will discover twelve charming sculptures of Snoopy relaxing on his iconic red doghouse. Each one has been uniquely designed by a different artist, from Becky Smith to Fran Preston-Gannon, making every stop along the trail a delightful surprise.

To make the adventure even more engaging, families can tune in to a playful audio guide narrated by Olaf Falafel. His storytelling brings each sculpture to life, adding humour and imagination to the experience as you wander from one snoopy to the next. With festive decorations all around and plenty of spots to pause for treats or photos, the Snoopy Sculpture Trail promises a memorable day out for families looking to explore, celebrate, and enjoy the magic of the season together.
