Mr Lyan returns to East London with the opening of cocktail bar Seed Library

Seed Library is the latest cocktail bar popping up in Shoreditch, the creation of acclaimed and multi-award-winning Mr Lyan. Located in the basement of One Hundred Shoreditch hotel, it signals the return of Mr Lyan to his East London home, an area in which the magic began with his first bar venture.

Snuggled into the lower ground of One Hundred Shoreditch, the bar will have a lo-fi, analogue approach to bartending. Mr Lyan (Ryan Chetiyawardana) will be accompanied by brand director Alex Lawrence in overseeing the operation, whilst general manager Stevie Kane and head bartender Dan Garnell will be ensuring a smooth day-to-day running of the establishment.

Set to feel like a super chill, neighbourhood hangout, walk-ins are highly encouraged. With a super stylish interior, think panelled wood and bespoke furniture upholstered in orange and red tones with an eclectic, warm soundtrack to provide a sanctuary from the bustle of Shoreditch High Street above.

So what exactly do the team mean by a ‘lo-fi, analogue approach to bartending’? A stripped back approach inspired by the origins of classic cocktails and the stories and knowledge held within alternative flavour sources.
