London’s New Musical Bar - The Room Where It Happens

Located atop the newly revamped townhouse at 5 Greek Street, The Room Where It Happens is Soho’s new musical themed bar, combining old-world charm with vibrant, late-night energy and the opportunity to sing your heart out to your favourite musical song.

This dedicated space invites show-tune enthusiasts to gather, sing, and revel in their shared passion for musical theatre. From Thursday to Saturday, its stained-glass windows come alive with iconic numbers and powerful harmonies, transforming any night into a mini West End performance.

Once frequented by the flamboyant Oscar Wild, the top floor has been aptly renamed Oscar’s Bar, furnished with lush green velvet, a golden ceiling, and stained-glass windows. Intricate Georgian grape motifs offer a nod to the building’s rich history, and candlelight flickers invite you to unleash your inner Elphaba, channel your best Hamilton rap, or embody your favourite disco legend.

By day, it's a charming venue for anyone craving a touch of showbiz glamour. But come 5pm on Thursdays and Fridays (with an encore on Saturdays), professional resting actors take the stage as singing servers, crafting 2-for-1 cocktails to set a fun, lively mood. A delicious food menu boasts delights like bacon-wrapped king prawns and burrata with roasted aubergine, miso-glazed salmon, rare duck breast with potato gratin, and HG Walter sirloin steak, and Saturdays also offer a bottomless brunch option, coupling brunch favourites with 2 hours of free flowing tipples.
