Where to celebrate Mother’s Day in London

Looking for the perfect way to celebrate the incredible woman in your life? Whether it’s your mum, grandmother, partner, or a dear friend, there’s nothing quite like sharing a delicious lunch or dinner or even a fun cocktail masterclass to show just how much she means to you.

We’ve rounded up some of the capital’s very best spots, so you can relax, indulge, and create a truly unforgettable experience together.

The Elizabeth Scarlett Afternoon Tea at Dalloway Terrace

The Bloomsbury hotel’s Dalloway Terrace has partnered with Elizabeth Scarlett and Pomelle Apéritif, weaving artistry, beauty, and wonder of the natural environment into every magical detail and delectable creation.

The afternoon tea is a celebration of British seasonality and Elizabeth Scarlett’s organic English garden, pressed flower and earth goddess motifs with sweets of earl grey cake, rhubarb and hibiscus profiterole, passion fruit and mango tart, raspberry and rose mousse and orange blossom Madeleine.

Savoury bites include smoked salmon pinwheel, harissa chicken mayonnaise and marinated cucumber and cream cheese, as well as freshly made vanilla and sultana buttermilk scones served with rhubarb and Campari jam and Cornish clotted cream.

To make the celebration even more special, Elizabeth Scarlett will gift a signature product with every afternoon tea purchased only on Mother’s Day and guests will receive a complimentary Pomelle Spritz made with pomelo and elderflower apéritif, Rathfinny sparkling wine and soda. The tea is available from £55 per person or £70 with a Pomelle Spritz.

Luxury hat label HOOD LONDON are running a month-long pop up at 12 Piccadilly Arcade, the store will present the label’s AW22 collection and an iconic eyewear collaboration, where visitors are able to try on classic pieces including the Lula heart beret and the signature Bergman fedora.

Drawing inspiration from the glamour of Hollywood’s golden age HOOD LONDON designs hats, headwear and sunglasses for the modern woman. Since 2019, the brand has done yearly collaborations with the iconic Dita Von Teese and will be launching their third collection to date at the pop up space on Friday 18th November.

The brand has also previously collaborated with leading British fashion designer Richard Quinn, while HOOD LONDON brand ambassadors include renowned creative figures Kate Beckinsale, Caroline Issa, Eleanor Tomlinson, Lou Dillon, Kat Von D and Ellen von Unwerth. Designed by Adèle Mildred and Gabrielle Djanogly, HOOD LONDON is an eco-conscious brand with a focus on modern silhouettes, crafts womanship and sustainability.

Creators Adele and Gabrielle commented: “Most women have a pair of shoes and a bag that they treasure, their ‘go-to’ accessories. We want them to have a hat they love too. Sometimes functional, sometimes frivolous, because dressing-up is part of growing up.”

The 12 Piccadilly Arcade pop up will be HOOD LONDON’s first time with a store space, giving customers the opportunity to meet the designers themselves. Every weekend in November, wig maker and hair stylist extraordinaire Sarah Necia will also be at the pop up styling hair in the basement by appointment only. Sarah has a dazzling client list includingRita Ora, Dita von Teese, Richard Quinn and Dolly Parton.

12 Piccadilly Arcade is located between Piccadilly and Jermyn Street, in one of the most fashionable and historic areas in London.
