Gordon Ramsay has arrived at Sea Containers

Gordon Ramsay has made its way to the South Bank and you can now find Gordon Ramsay at Sea Containers taking pride of place at the riverside hotel. Bookings are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and if you fancy a side of Thames views with your meal, nab a spot on the sprawling outdoor terrace. This new team-up between Gordon Ramsay Restaurants and Lore Group is all about classic British dishes served in a spot you’ll want to linger in. With sweeping skyline views, it’s basically calling your name for those last golden weeks of terrace weather, when everyone in London insists it’s still summer as long as you’re wearing a light jacket. 

The menu is a love letter to the river, with seafood galore: think Fruits de Mer, Whole Native Lobster and Cornish Crab Tagliolini. If you’re more about the meat, there’s a 45-day aged Rib Eye or a Côte de Bœuf made for sharing (or not, depending on how generous you’re feeling). Of course, Ramsay’s greatest hits are on the bill too. Expect his legendary Beef Wellington, classic Fish & Chips, and the tongue-in-cheek Idiot Sandwich flight, a wink to one of his most iconic TV moments. Don’t worry, you won’t need to survive a kitchen grilling to order. Dessert keeps things deliciously British with Sticky Toffee Pudding and English Strawberry Trifle, but if you’re feeling bold, the Sea Containers Chocolate dessert mixes chocolate, olive oil, sea salt and toasted sourdough for a sweet treat with a twist.

Inside, designer Jacu Strauss has channelled the building’s past and the glitz of 1920s cruise liners. There are nods to London’s river-mudlarking history, plus an open kitchen, central bar and plenty of river-facing tables to keep the Thames front and centre. With seafood towers, Ramsay classics and some of the best views on the South Bank, Gordon Ramsay at Sea Containers is set to make waves this autumn. Come for the lobster, stick around for the sunset, and do your best not to call anyone an idiot sandwich before pudding.
