Free Live Music, Street Food and Riverside Drinks Return to the South Bank This Summer

Looking for free things to do in London this summer? One of the capital's best riverside hangouts is turning up the volume with a series of free live music events on the South Bank.

London's largest independent brewery, Signature Brew, has teamed up with KERB's popular Tastes Like London market to launch Signature's Summer Series – a free programme of live music, DJ sets and performances taking place outside the National Theatre throughout the summer.

Running across four dates between June and August, Signature's Summer Series brings together independent artists, DJs and performers in one of London's most iconic outdoor settings.

The series kicks off on Friday 19 June with a special DJ set from Simone Marie Butler, bassist for legendary rock band Primal Scream. Further events will take place on 26 June, 24 July and 28 August, offering the perfect excuse to spend an evening by the Thames with great music, food and drinks. Best of all, entry is completely free and no booking is required.

The music takes place alongside KERB's bustling open-air riverside market, where visitors can sample a carefully curated selection of London's most exciting independent food vendors.

Highlights include:

• The Duck Shed serving its famous slow-roasted duck dishes

• Barbs, bringing authentic flavours of Barbados to the South Bank

• Feed The Village, offering vibrant plant-based street food

• Happy Pot, serving creative Malaysian-Nigerian fusion cuisine

Whether you're after a quick bite or a full feast, there's plenty to choose from while enjoying the riverside atmosphere.

No summer evening is complete without a refreshing drink, and Signature Brew's impressive 20-foot container bar will be pouring fresh pints alongside frozen cocktails and seasonal spritzes throughout the series.

Visitors can also make the most of the National Theatre's outdoor spaces, including:

• Black Lines Bar, serving refreshing Hugo Spritzes

• GRIND, offering iced coffees, flavoured matcha, frappés and cold cocktails

• Chill Gelato, serving artisan dairy-free gelato all summer long

For those looking to elevate their evening, Forza Taps returns to the lower terrace beneath Forza Wine, offering sunset views across the Thames alongside wine, cocktails, beer and frozen slushies on tap.
