Vikings: The Immersive Experience is landing at Dock X this March

This March, London welcomes a powerful new cultural attraction -Vikings: The Immersive Experience landing at Dock X. Far more than a battle-led retelling, this ambitious exhibition offers an emotional and educational journey into the heart of Viking society, centred on one of its most influential dynasties. Visitors are invited to step inside the world of King Ragnar Lodbrok, Queen Kraka (Aslaug) and their legendary sons, including Ivar the Boneless and Bjorn Ironside.

Blending large-scale physical sets with cutting-edge technology, the experience unfolds across richly detailed environments designed to fully immerse guests in the Viking age. Highlights include a dramatic forest-style discovery space and a towering mythological Yggdrasil, also known as the World Tree, brought to life through light, sound and projection. High-resolution video mapping, virtual reality and a sweeping cinematic score combine to transport visitors back to 9th-century Scandinavia and the lands the Vikings once explored and conquered.

A defining feature of the exhibition is its focus on Queen Kraka, whose wisdom, foresight and spiritual power are often overshadowed in popular history. Through storytelling and immersive visuals, visitors follow her journey from hidden royal lineage to revered völva, revealing the pivotal role she played in shaping one of the most feared families of the North.

The experience culminates in a striking 360-degree cinematic presentation set around a real Viking longship, guiding audiences through a tale of love, fate, vengeance and legacy. Accessible, multi-sensory and thoughtfully designed, Vikings: The Immersive Experience will appeal to history lovers, families, school groups and fans of Vikings alike.

Tickets start from £19 for children and £23 for adults, with concessions and VIP options available. Public opening on 13th March 2026.

Address: Dock X, Unit 1 Canada Water, Surrey Quays Rd, London, SE16 2XU

Fire and Ice Resurfacing Treatment at Young LDN – Review

During the winter months, our skin can take a bit of a battering, fiercely cold wind whipping past our faces irritating our skin, a lack of sunshine and dry indoor heat drawing moisture away. It’s no wonder that my own face feels dry and my complexion dull. I was invited to try out the Fire & Ice Resurfacing Treatment at Young LDN, to give my skin the love it needs.

As stated on their website – ‘Pioneered in Beverly Hills and coveted by A-listers globally, the famous fire and ice intensive treatment from iS Clinical is scientifically formulated with the purest pharmaceutical grade ingredients and designed to rapidly and safely resurface the skin, reduce fine lines, address problematic skin and encourage cellular renewal. The treatment includes Rejuvenating Yellow LED’.

Arriving at Young LDN in Notting Hill, I received a warm and friendly greeting, the ground floor was quiet so I marvelled at the quirky decor and decorative artwork on the walls. Shortly after I was taken downstairs into a treatment room to discuss my skin concerns with my beauty therapist Bianca. The treatment started off with a deep cleanse and exfoliation, shortly after my face was covered with an Intensive Resurfacing Masque, formulated with sugar cane extract, Vitamin A & Vitamin B3. This is where the fire comes in, as it does tingle and can sting a little, due to the active ingredients. It didn’t bother me too much, the way I saw it the more active the better.

Next up was the soothing Rejuvenating Masque, formulated with strong antioxidants, Hyaluronic Acid, Aloe Vera, Green Tea, Grape Seed & Rosemary Extract. While all the goodness seeped into my skin, Bianca gave me a hand and arm massage helping me to further relax and I could feel the tension melting away. Once the massage was over and the mask was taken off, I lay there under a restoring yellow LED light to further boost collagen and stimulate hyaluronic acid and elastin. The treatment finished with cooling massage balls gliding across my face, focusing on lymphatic drainage, flushing away toxins and reducing water retention.

Looking in the mirror afterward, I was delighted with how radiant my complexion looked, my face was glowing, it looked even-toned and my skin felt softer and smoother. The cost of the facial is £149 for 60 minutes, which is on the tad expensive side, but I hadn’t seen my skin glow and look this refreshed in a long time. Sometimes you do have to shell out for such amazing results, your skin will thank you for it.

Young LDN doesn’t just stop at facials, you can also book in for a mani and pedi, a wax, a make-up session and even a tattoo removal. To book an appointment visit: https://www.youngldn.com

Address: 228 Westbourne Grove, Notting Hill, W11 2RH
