DJ AG to headline free East London festival Emerge East

A huge day of music, art, food and activities by the river as Emerge East returns to Barking Riverside on Saturday 12 September, and this year’s festival is bigger than ever. Leading the music programme is London DJ and viral livestream sensation DJ AG. Known for transforming London’s streets and public spaces into unforgettable events, DJ AG has built a huge following online and is best known for surprise appearances from artists including Skepta, Central Cee, Jorja Smith, Craig David and Ed Sheeran.
Joined by DJ Mak 10, Glade Marie, RAIDAA and Donnie Sunshine, with music, dance and live performances happening throughout the day, there will also be a roster of other activities for guests to get involved with:
Riverside Sauna – experience global bathing rituals, heat, cold contrast and steam, curated by Katie Bracher of Sauna Master UK.
Pollenarium – step inside a spectacular new six-metre immersive artwork by internationally renowned UK artist Luke Jerram and US-based Pneuhaus.
Food & drink – refuel with street food from Pizza Pazzi and NOODLEHUB, alongside English wine spritzers from Vine Street.
Creative workshops & independent makers – get hands-on, discover something new and meet local creatives.
Sport & street culture – have a go at boxing, Double Dutch, roller skating and street football.
Live performances – expect music, dance and entertainment across the festival throughout the day.
