This May, Chelsea’s most stylish streets will once again transform into a floral wonderland for the much-loved Chelsea in Bloom and 2026’s theme, ‘Out of This World’, promises a dazzling journey through astrology, mythology and space exploration. Among the standout participants this year is The Trafalgar Public House, bringing a cosmic twist to one of London’s most elegant neighbourhoods.
Running from 18–24 May 2026, The Trafalgar will embrace the festival’s intergalactic theme with a striking, multi-textile floral installation created in collaboration with renowned McQueens Flowers, along with a special menu to celebrate the event.
Expect a show-stopping entrance adorned with sculptural blooms, including King Proteas and delicate Blushing Brides, a subtle nod to the venue’s position opposite Chelsea Town Hall, long associated with weddings. Adding to the magic, a thoughtfully designed moon garden will feature night-blooming flowers, celebrating the beauty of the night sky and the celestial navigation that once guided sailors across oceans.
The experience extends well beyond the visuals. The Trafalgar’s limited-edition cocktail list leans into the theme with stellar creations like the Polaris Sour — a blend of ABA pisco, lime, demerara sugar and egg white — and the refreshing Starlight Spritz, combining prosecco, St Germain elderflower liqueur, lemon, mint and soda.
Perfect for pairing with a visit to the nearby Chelsea Flower Show, the pub’s seasonal menu showcases the best of British produce. Starters include gin-cured chalk stream trout with pickled cucumber and English asparagus with broad bean purée and toasted Kentish cobnuts. For mains, diners can opt for roast hake with samphire, Jersey Royals and English sparkling beurre blanc, or a fragrant wild garlic and morel risotto. Desserts continue the celestial theme with dishes such as blueberry and viola jelly paired with pink fizz, or a classic elderflower posset with strawberries and shortbread, the perfect culinary accompaniment to the area’s visual feast.
