What to do to celebrate The King’s Coronation over the bank holiday weekend

OK so we may not be at Westminster Abbey witnessing the crowning of King Charles III, but we can certainly celebrate this monumental day! You can attend the procession or if you don’t fancy the crowds, fear not there is a lot happening in London.

Here are some of our favourite things to do during the long bank holiday weekend.

Take part in the exciting activities in Covent Garden

Celebrate The King’s Coronation with a variety of activities in Covent Garden. Visit The Crown Jewels Garden pop-up in the Piazza to watch The Coronation ceremony with your loved one, you will also be treated to live music and entertainment.

The Market Building and streets throughout Seven Dials will be adorned with over 4,000 Union Jack flags and a new art installation in celebration of the Coronation will be created by Insta-famous graffiti artist Jimmy C. Look out for special store offers and special Coronation menus from an array of restaurants and bars.

Party in Carnaby

Carnaby is welcoming visitors with a series of installations to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III. Expect to see the new shimmering red and silver ‘Coronation in Carnaby’ arch as well as a glistening Union Flag and oversized crown that will be suspended above the street.

On 6th May there will be live roaming music, special offers in stores along with food and cocktail menus to tantalise your tastebuds.

On 6th May, Babur is hosting an afternoon tea fit for a king. Evoking the rich traditions of Indian dining culture with bold innovative twists on traditional high tea.
