The Warm up package at Bounce in Old Street - Review

The Warm up package at Bounce in Old Street - Review

If you’re a ping pong enthusiast who loves to eat, drink, and get a bit competitive, Bounce is your new happy place! With three buzzing locations across London—Old Street, Farringdon, and Battersea Power Station—Bounce offers everything from classic ping pong to high-tech gaming with Ping Pong X. Their snazzy new AI system tracks your game automatically, so you can focus on having fun without worrying about keeping score. No more depending on your most honest friend to play referee. Sounds perfect, right?

I rallied five friends and were booked in with ‘The Warm-Up’ package at the Old Street branch (just £25 per person during off-peak times).

Here’s what we got:

  • Ping Pong X

  • 2 house drinks per person, beer and wine

  • Half a pizza per person

  • Small bites which included - Prawn Cocktail Taco, Fried Chicken, Fries, Roasted Tomato & Red Pepper Skewer, Garlic Sourdough Strips & Dips

Bounce - Old Street is just a short walk from the station. When we got inside, the place was already buzzing with competitive faces and bursts of laughter. A friendly staff member walked us through Ping Pong X, where you control the game by bouncing your ball on the table’s built-in options. Very sci-fi! We tried out a couple of game modes, but ended up sticking to classic ping pong!

Drinks and food? There was no need to go to the bar and queue, a staff member came right over to take our order, and in less than 15 minutes, two ice-cold buckets of beer, bottles of wine, and delicious pizzas and bites arrived at our table. It felt super VIP and definitely took our night up a notch!

The rest of the evening was pure ping pong madness! We were ultra-competitive, but it was all in good fun. Honestly, it was such a refreshing way to spend the night, with plenty of action instead of just sitting around drinking.

We had so much fun, we couldn’t resist booking another game! We grabbed more drinks from the bar, laughed over our scores, and thoroughly enjoyed playing some more. THE AI technology did a good job keeping track of points, however, it did mix up the scores a couple of times—nothing major. It's new tech, so we weren’t too fussed.

Bounce has a lot of awesome packages to choose from, from birthday bashes to bottomless brunches and drinks packages. Bounce is a great spot for any occasion where you want to gather your friends for some light-hearted competition.

You can also book in for Bounce's bottomless brunch on a weekend. It’s not just about the endless prosecco and pizza (though that’s reason enough). Picture this: live DJs keeping the party going, and you, sipping, eating and batting all for just £30.00. For an extra £10 pp, guests can sip on popular cocktails such as Pornstar Martinis, Espresso Martinis, Chilli Mango Margaritas and non-alcoholic Apple Spritz.
