Review of Sam’s Kitchen in Chiswick
Tucked away in the heart of Chiswick, Sam’s Kitchen is the epitome of cosy neighbourhood dining, effortlessly blending warmth, hospitality, and a refined yet approachable menu. We had the pleasure of visiting to experience the latest offerings from Dinner at SK, a thoughtfully curated evening menu that highlights seasonal ingredients and bold, well-balanced flavours.
The menu is priced at £45 for two courses and £55 for three, with expertly suggested wine pairings to complement each dish. This dining experience provides fantastic value in an informal but elegant setting. From the very first bite, it was clear that this would be a special meal.

We began our evening with a light and airy house-made brioche roll, served warm and paired with a deeply aromatic wild garlic butter—a simple yet sophisticated starter that set the tone for what was to come.
For our first course, we enjoyed the beautifully plated salt-baked beetroot, where the earthiness of the beet was elevated by a delicate balance of white balsamic, creamy ewe’s curd, and crunchy hazelnuts, adding layers of texture and flavour.

The main courses continued to impress. The fillet of sea bream was cooked to perfection, its crisp skin giving way to succulent, flaky fish. Served alongside Dorset clams, buttery Charlotte potatoes, rich Nduja butter, and vibrant agretti, an intriguing sea vegetable from the Mediterranean Basin, creating a dish that was both elegant and deeply flavoursome.
Equally enticing was the Devonshire chicken breast, boasting juicy, tender meat complemented by smoky BBQ leeks, crispy pancetta, and a fragrant wild garlic pesto—a beautifully balanced dish that delivered richness without being heavy.
To finish, we indulged in a stunning caramelised lemon tart, its silky, citrus-infused filling perfectly offset by the slight tang of crème fraîche—a bright and refreshing end to the meal.
With produce expertly sourced and combinations deftly curated, our meal felt very high-end and excellent value for money.
While Dinner at SK is a must-visit for an elevated evening experience, Sam’s Kitchen also shines in the morning, offering a stellar breakfast and brunch menu. From crab crumpets and buttery pastries to the signature bacon & egg muffin and house-made granola with coconut yoghurt and seasonal fruit. Every dish is prepared with the same dedication to quality and flavour.
Whether you're starting your day with a leisurely coffee or settling in for a relaxed meal, Sam’s Kitchen is the kind of place you'll find yourself returning to—morning, noon, and night. Book ahead to avoid disappointment as this small intimate dining space can get booked up, and it’s no surprise why.
